While on a hunt for interesting art and/or furniture at his local Goodwill in Columbus, Zachary Bodish found himself sorting through a stack of posters when one caught his eye. He said that the lack of shine found on many posters today. It was brown, unpolished, and upon closer examination appeared to have an errant red grease pencil mark, which didn't quite look like a signature.

Bodish sought out experts who eagerly told him that strange mark was the "John Hancock" of the universally famous painter Pablo Picasso.

While it has not been certified, it appears to be an original from the 1950's. Similar pieces to this have sold at recent auctions for as much as 15,000 dollars. Here's the best part, he bought it at a Goodwill for 14 dollars.

I've met a couple people who are appalled when I tell them that the clothes I'm wearing are from a thrift store, and I ask them to explain what the issue is. I still haven't heard one that would make me stop shopping at these wonderful donation centers. A place for the sentimental person to recycle their style.

A person like me, friends like mine, people like us, should support this practice. We as Americans honor our history by resurrecting icons and styles that were once popular.

This process defines the essence of vintage. I also slightly dislike the word vintage, it just sounds so stuffy these days. We'll call it the "throwback" method. The process is complete once an individuals is incorporating and completely redefining classic stylistic values.

Here at thriftGOOD our main goal is to recycle and recreate classic men's fashion. We hope there are a ton of other bright young individuals in our impressive generation that feel the same way. Obviously my man Zach is a firm believer in the throwback way.

Well done sir Bodish. You've clearly demonstrated your ability to thriftGOOD.
